Ina's Birthday and Awesome Friends

My friend Rosanna and I (and our husbands) were invited to our friend, Ina St. George's birthday bash. We had a blast swimming, eating, talking and wishing Ina a wonderful birthday. I love spending time with my awesome friend Rosanna. She is always there for me, supporting me, and I want to thank her for that!!

We were able to get to know a lot of great people in our ward; John and Sara (who just moved in with their cute little girls- and now I have a scrap booking buddy YEAH!!), Lenore and Sean visiting from Hawaii, the St. George's, Yolinda and Harold, and many others (If I forgot you it's only because I have a really bad memory sometimes :) not because I don't love you too!) We have been in the ward for 3 years now-and have finally found our little niche with the people of our ward and we feel home.

4th of July Burgers and Bullets

We were invited to the Hubers for burgers and bullets. It was a blast we talked, ate, shot guns, rode four wheelers and watched sky divers. Thank you Hubers!!!

Maija and Nathan's Wedding

I went to Washington to visit my family and to see my little sister get married. It was a lot of fun! It was nice to be apart of a family activity and to spend time together talking and shopping!

Finished Product

This is what the final product looks like. The company we bought it from told us we could paint it a different color but I haven't decided on that yet. We even painted the wall behind it an accent color quite a few months ago and found the huge rose picture that helps tie in the huge space above that mantel.

Keith also bought me a new dishwasher, I was totally surprised. Our other one was black and I've wanted to change out the appliances to stainless. Now we just have the stove to go ( I am hoping for an Electrolux - we'll see.) I love it and thanks to our friend Jeremy we finally got it installed a few weeks ago. Thanks Jeremy!!

New additions to our house

So we have added a few things to our house since we bought it almost three years ago. We added in a pellet stove this is awesome because it saves us so much on our energy bill and keeps the house roasty warm and I don't have to be afraid of lighting it (I hate fire) because it has a thermostat and lights itself!

The Octopus Tree

This is the coolest tree I've ever seen. We took this little hike after visiting a light house to the octopus tree which I thought would be a little tree not much to look at. But actually this tree was huge with enormous arms stretching outward to the sky.

Vacation to Washington

We visited my parents this past September for a little over a week. This was really nice since we haven't seen them in over a year. It was nice to break away from the normal grind of everyday life and spend sometime away from home and with family.

We went to a beach town in Oregon called Rock Away Beach there we beach combed and visited the Tillamook cheese factory and air museum.
